24 Hour Registered Nurse Hotline

What hours are they open?
The Nurse Hotline is available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Even on holidays. There is never a time when you do not have access to a registered nurse with your DigiTel “Platinum Benefit Group program”.

Will the nurse be able to tell me what is wrong with me?
Only your doctor has the license that permits him or her to give you a proper diagnosis. Once you have explained your symptoms, a registered nurse can most likely tell you if you need to schedule an appointment with your physician or if you should immediately go to your nearest emergency room.

Can I get a prescription written for myself from the nurse?
Only your licensed physician is able to write a prescription for you.

I already have a well-known physical disorder. I have a few more questions. Can the Nurse Hotline help me to better understand?
Yes. You will be put in touch with a registered nurse that understands your particular situation to answer questions you may have and to help you stay informed. In addition you may access the Nurse Hotline audiotape library and listen to topics related to your condition.

I’m concerned about biochemical diseases. Can Nurse Hotline help me?
Yes. A registered nurse at Nurse Hotline can let you know what safeguards are available to you and further help you to prepare in event of a local or national emergency.

A member of my family has a serious drug and alcohol addiction. Can you tell me how to help them?
Our Registered Nurses are more than happy to assist you by providing the phone number of an agency near you that would be prepared for this kind of problem.

I am scheduled for a medical test that I do not completely understand and I am a little nervous – should I call the Nurse Hotline?
Absolutely! A nurse can explain the reasons for medical tests and prepare you for what you can expect when the test is administered.
